Asten Realtors lines up Rs 10 bn projects

Reports suggest that south Indian property developer Asten Realtors has lined up Rs 1,000 crore worth investment projects in the next three years in central Kerala.

This includes two apartment projects, Villament at Mudikkal on the Alwaye-Perumbavoor road and a high-end apartment project at Panangad. The Villament project would offer facilities of both villa and apartment. There will be 58 such apartments, each costing around Rs 2 crore.

The firm is also planning to invest in warehousing and container freight stations. It has opened a container stock yard at koonammav.

Besides, it would set up an integrated township project at Kakkanad, the state’s global IT hub, with an investment of Rs 480 crore. The 6.5 acre township with a built-up area of 1.4 million sft would be commissioned in August, 2015, a top company official said.

This includes 368 residential apartments in two blocks with an area of 800,000 sft, 600,000 sft commercial area, a 120-room luxury hotel and two malls.

The project would also house 5 multiplexes, 500-seat food court and a parking facility for 1,200 cars. It is coming up adjacent to the 100-acre Rajagiri Vidhyapeetam campus.

The commercial space of the township would provide jobs for around 5,000 people directly. It is learnt that 40 per cent of the apartments with a price tag of Rs 60-65 lakh had already been sold.
