Hydel project in Sikkim commissioned

Gati Infrastructure, which invested about Rs 1,150 crore on its first 110 MW hydro electric power plant project in Sikkim, commissioned the unit recently. This plant is part of the three hydel power plants that the firm agreed to set up on build, operate, own and transfer basis in the state. Earlier, the company had signed an agreement with the Sikkim Government for these projects. The plant will deliver power?to the state and across the country as it is directly connected to the Central Transmission Utility (national grid) through a 24-km dedicated transmission line.
