Surya Roshni to invest Rs 550 cr on capacity expansion

Surya Roshni Ltd, manufacturers of electrical bulbs and tubelights and steel pipes, is planning an investment of about Rs 550 crore towards capacity expansion at its different units in the country.

The company is aiming to increase its annual turnover to Rs 5,000 crore from the present Rs 1,750 crore in the next two to three years. Some of the company's plants are in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

Work is in progress to set up manufacturing units in south India and it could materialise in the next financial year.
