Anarock Group Acquires 51% Stake in DSP Design for Rs. 4 bn

Real estate consultant Anarock Group has acquired a 51 per cent stake in architecture firm DSP Design Associates at an enterprise value of around Rs. 4 bn, expanding its presence across design, project management and engineering services. The acquisition was announced on September 24, although the company did not disclose the amount paid for the stake.

Mumbai-based Anarock is a property consultancy that recorded a turnover of around Rs. 9.5 bn in the last fiscal. The company said the transaction would combine its real estate advisory and transaction capabilities with DSP Design’s architecture, master planning and interior design expertise.

Anarock said the acquisition would enable it to provide developers and corporates with an integrated service journey covering site selection, transactions, design and construction. The company described DSP’s design capabilities and established client base as complementary to its Project Management and Engineering Services and advisory businesses.

DSP Design Associates has a presence in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, the National Capital Region and Hyderabad. The firm has more than 320 professionals in India and has delivered over 1,000 projects across different geographies. Its founding leadership will continue to manage the business following the transaction.

DSP’s practice covers master planning, architecture, interior design and design-build services. Its work spans commercial IT parks, mixed-use developments, residential, retail and hospitality projects, with more than 125 mn sq ft of ongoing projects. Anarock said the partnership would provide DSP with a platform to expand into new geographies and service lines while retaining its design approach and client relationships.
