Ayodhya set with grand preparations for Ram Temple inauguration

Preparations for the forthcoming inauguration of the Ram Temple and the consecration ceremony on January 22 are reaching their final stages, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath set to grace the occasion. The embellishments at Rampath, Bhakti Path, and Sugriva Fort are nearing completion, featuring terracotta and fine clay mural artifacts adorning the walls.

Embellishments include murals along Dharma Path depicting incidents from the Ramayana, complemented by artifacts reminiscent of Tretayuga. The temple premises are bustling with painting, cleaning, and artistic endeavours in anticipation of the grand inauguration ceremony.

Rampath, a 13-kilometer-long road leading to Sahadatganj, has been widened to 40 feet, with establishments, buildings, and shops on both sides adorned with vibrant paint. The main entrance of the Ram temple, named 'Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path,' is undergoing lighting and canopy installation on the 90 feet wide road.

Beautification efforts extend to the Ramkatha Museum at Nayaghat, while the historically significant Ram Ki Pauri has been cleaned and the pumping stations' capacity increased. Laser shows presenting Ram Katha every evening and the renovation of 37 ancient temples in Ayodhya add to the festive atmosphere.

In parallel, the construction of a grand railway station in Ayodhya is now complete, featuring modern architecture and comprehensive facilities. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the station, which is expected to connect Ayodhya to key cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, Nagpur, Lucknow, and Jammu.

Trains are slated to commence operations from January 19, ahead of the temple's inauguration. Following the consecration of the idol of Lord Shri Ram, the temple will open to the public from January 23. The station offers amenities such as a food court, air-conditioned waiting lounge, escalator, lift, and Wi-Fi, with IRCTC providing 24x7 catering services during pilgrimages.

Devotees from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and Bihar have flocked to Ayodhya to witness the ongoing construction at the Ram temple complex. In terms of security, Ayodhya IG Range Praveen Kumar outlined a stringent plan, including multiple check points, 2,500 CCTV cameras, restrictions on drone usage without permission, and enhanced security along the riverbank to ensure the safety of the event.
