Ban imposed on Chintels after Paradiso cave now lifted
The panel established to review concerns relevant to these three buildings has lifted the ban on registers of properties owned by the developer, which is likely to hasten the compensation procedure for flat owners of towers D, E, and F of Chintels Paradiso.
The Sector 109 society's impacted flat owners have been receiving rent payments from the developer, Chintels India, for several months, despite the firm's earlier claims that it is experiencing financial difficulties.
After two people were killed in a cave-in of five units at Paradiso on 20 February of last year, deputy commissioner Nishant Yadav ordered that registration of sale deeds of all projects of the developer be halted until further notice. The developer has also worked on the Sobha City, International City, Chintels Serenity, Chintels Corporate Park, and ATS Kocoon projects.
