Chhattisgarh govt resumes infrastructural projects in Nava Raipur

The infrastructure projects for the state capital, Nava (New) Raipur, that were put on hold during the Covid-caused pandemic have now begun to be completed by the Chhattisgarh government.

The construction of a new governor's home, Assembly building, chief minister's mansion, residences for ministers and senior officers, and a new circuit house in the "Nava Raipur" region were all halted by the state government when the epidemic was at its worst in May 2021.

The action will save the state exchequer Rs 200 billion. Major expenditures that were not immediately necessary had to be stopped as the nation fought Covid.

Chhattisgarh is encouraging the stalled projects now that the economy is on the road to recovery. The first project in the series is the development of brand-new Legislative Assembly facilities, which would cost over Rs 2.45 billion and cover a vast 550,000 square foot space. Additionally, the project includes a guest home for MLAs that will cost an additional Rs 1.18 bn to complete. The procedure for a new tender has been finished, and the chosen bidder has been given a work order.
