Danube Group Rules Out Layoffs Amid Regional Uncertainty

Danube Group has said it will not lay off employees despite the uncertainty arising from the US–Israel–Iran conflict, with Founder and Chairman Rizwan Sajan reaffirming the company’s commitment to its workforce.

In a recent Instagram post, Sajan said the group had faced several crises in the past, including the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, and had emerged stronger each time. He said the company had honoured its promise of avoiding layoffs during the pandemic and would follow the same approach again.

Sajan added that Danube Group’s 6,000-plus employees are integral to the company’s growth and said all salaries would be paid on time. He also reiterated the group’s commitment to clients and customers during the current period of disruption.

The company’s diversified presence across building materials, real estate and home solutions has helped it remain agile in changing market conditions. Danube Properties has also recently launched Greenz by Danube, its first large integrated community, offering townhouses and villas starting at AED 3.5 million under its 1 per cent monthly payment plan.

Danube Group said it remains focused on execution, timely delivery and meeting commitments, using strong fundamentals and decisive leadership to navigate geopolitical challenges.
