According to a source, around 8,500 plots were allotted in favour of the cooperative housing societies, which are involved in several schemes of the IDA.

Another important decision that was taken was the renewal of lease deeds. The landlords have been freed from the requirement of no-objection by the housing cooperative societies. It will ease the lease renewal and make the work of landlords easier.
