Tata Realty and Infrastructure (TRIL), Tata group’s real estate arm, is poised to acquire a 25.3- acre land parcel near Bengaluru’s Whitefield for over Rs.9.86 billion. The acquisition from Graphite India is executed via TRIL’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, TRIL Bengaluru Real Estate Five and TRIL Bengaluru Real Estate Six. Although definitive documents were signed recently, the deal’s registration is imminent. This transaction values the plot at nearly Rs 400 million per acre, marking the area’s costliest land deal. Experts predict continued market consolidation in favour of established developers due to enhanced execution capabilities and access to liquidity.
