Mobavenue names Microsoft AI leader Ben John as adviser

Mumbai, 03 November 2025: Mobavenue, a global AI-powered AdTech and consumer growth company, has appointed Ben John, Vice-President Engineering, Microsoft AI, to its Advisory Board. In the role, he will strengthen industry linkages, steer AI-led innovation and deep-tech architecture, and advise on go-to-market initiatives to scale Mobavenue’s international footprint.

With more than two decades of building large-scale platforms, Ben is a respected leader across AI and advertising technology. At Microsoft, he leads the AI CoPilot data platform, enabling personalised AI experiences for consumers and enterprise partners. Previously, as CTO at AppNexus, he led its merger with AT&T in 2018 and co-founded Xandr, later architecting its 2022 sale to Microsoft and integrating Microsoft Ads with Xandr. He also played a key role in the Microsoft–Netflix advertising partnership. Ben holds a PhD in Computer Science, specialising in machine learning and big-data mining, and founded the Invest to Impact Network Foundation (ITOI), a non-profit focused on technology-driven social impact.

Commenting on the appointment, Ben John said he was “truly excited to join Mobavenue’s Advisory Board,” noting the company’s clarity of vision and speed of execution. He added that Mobavenue’s mission to use AI and data at scale to solve real problems “resonates deeply,” and that he looks forward to supporting the team as it grows “from India to the world.”

Welcoming him, Ishank Joshi, Managing Director and CEO, Mobavenue, said: “We are honoured to have Ben join us. For a leader of his calibre, who has shaped global AI and AdTech ecosystems, to choose us is a powerful validation of our vision, capabilities and potential. His deep expertise and global perspective will be invaluable as we expand our innovation pipeline, attract global partnerships and accelerate our impact across international markets.”

Mobavenue said Ben’s appointment underscores its rapid momentum and commitment to building world-class, AI-powered solutions from India for global customers—delivering measurable outcomes for businesses, media agencies and publishers.
