Amit Shah Inaugurates Dialogue on Inner Awakening for Forces

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah today inaugurated a national dialogue titled ‘Self-Empowerment through Inner Awakening’ for security forces personnel, at the Brahma Kumaris headquarters in Abu Road, Rajasthan. The event also marked the launch of the organisation’s 2025-26 theme: ‘Meditation for World Unity and World Faith’.

Addressing the gathering, which included Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma and other dignitaries, Shri Shah praised the Brahma Kumaris for fostering peace and inner transformation through yoga, meditation, and spiritual discipline. He noted the institution’s global role in creating an atmosphere of simplicity, abstinence, and cooperation—built on a foundation of sacrifice, penance, and spiritual brilliance.

Shri Shah commended the Brahma Kumaris’ efforts over the past 25 years in supporting India’s security personnel through stress-relief and mindfulness practices. He emphasised that the pressures faced by armed forces, police, and paramilitary units in safeguarding national integrity demanded holistic well-being—mental, emotional, and spiritual. The outreach by the Brahma Kumaris, he said, has been a powerful force in helping these personnel connect with peace within.

Reflecting on India's spiritual legacy, the Home Minister spoke of the nation’s ancient traditions that unify the mind, body, intellect, and soul. He highlighted India’s contribution to the world through yoga and spirituality, particularly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who, by establishing International Yoga Day on 21st June, had shared India’s Vedic heritage with the world. “Today, millions around the globe are embracing yoga and meditation,” he said, “and this path will become the basis for world peace in the times to come.”

Shri Shah also paid tribute to the founder of the Brahma Kumaris, Pujya Lekhraj Kripalani Ji, who, he said, had lit the way for countless souls by turning them into ‘lamps’ on the path of light. He acknowledged the organisation’s emphasis on celibacy, vegetarianism, de-addiction, simplicity, and the empowerment of women, noting that the leadership of women within the Brahma Kumaris has become a shining symbol of Indian culture.

Describing the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world as one family—as central to India's worldview, Shri Shah said India’s spiritual heritage continues to guide global discourse in unity and harmony. The Brahma Kumaris, as ambassadors of these values, are playing a pivotal role in spreading this message across borders, he said.

Concluding his address, Shri Amit Shah lauded the Brahma Kumari Sansthan’s dedication to self-transformation as the foundation for societal change. He affirmed that through their spiritual leadership, India’s timeless wisdom was reaching every corner of the globe, lighting the way towards collective well-being and peace.
