Ganesh Green Bharat Wins 1,000 MWh BESS EPC Order from NTPC REL

Ganesh Green Bharat Limited has secured a 1,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL). The award adds to the company’s project portfolio in India and reinforces its role in large scale energy storage delivery. The BESS will be supplied as part of the EPC scope and the work will draw on the firm’s manufacturing and project execution capabilities.

Battery energy storage systems are being deployed to support renewable integration, improve grid stability, reduce curtailment and meet peak demand while enabling continuous clean power supply. The work will draw on established engineering practices and procurement experience. The project will assist grid operations and complements national renewable capacity expansion plans. The contract demonstrates market demand for utility scale storage solutions and underlines the strategic importance of integrated technology and project delivery capabilities.

The award comes as the company reported strong financial results for fiscal year twenty six, with revenue of Rs 10,642.6 million (mn) and profit after tax of Rs 751.8 mn. The company reported an order book of approximately Rs 22,120 mn, providing visibility over future revenues. The fiscal performance reflects year-on-year expansion in business and client traction across solar module supply and storage projects.

Company leadership described the contract as an important milestone and said storage technologies are becoming a key enabler of the clean energy transition. Management added that it will focus on delivering advanced technology solutions and reliable project execution to meet client expectations. The latest order expands the company’s presence across the renewable energy and storage ecosystem and supports its strategic focus on sustainable infrastructure and India’s decarbonisation objectives.
