Himachal CM Dedicates 21 Projects Worth Rs. 1.36 bn in Mandi

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 21 development projects worth Rs. 1.36 bn in Mandi district on Saturday. The projects were dedicated at Kansa ground in the Balh area during his one-day visit to the region.

The initiatives cover the Balh, Nachan, Mandi Sadar and Karsog assembly constituencies. Major road projects include metalling and tarring work on the Chandyal-Pipli-Kuthwari-Kandi-Tarapur-Kharsi-Mansa Mata Mandir Dola Tikkar road, valued at Rs. 107.3 mn, and the Sakroha-Naina Mata Mandir-Pipli-Nadaul-Kausala-Malwana road, costing Rs. 82.8 mn.

The Lakhvan-Dahanu-Bhanshot-Rathol-Andreta-Meramsit road project, worth Rs. 51.1 mn, was also inaugurated. Other major works included the Rs. 258.9 mn upgradation of the Nerchowk-Ratti-Kalkhar road, the Rs. 439.1 mn Lift Water Supply Scheme for habitations under the Irrigation and Public Health Sub Division, Rewalsar, and the Rs. 170.1 mn Lift Water Supply Scheme for Bahli-Mahadev and Neri Kangar and Panyas under the Public Works Department infrastructure project division in Mandi.

Additional facilities inaugurated included the Public Works Department division office building at Nerchowk, an Ayurvedic Health Centre at Behna, a veterinary dispensary at Koth, the Government Primary School building at Bal, and Panchayat Ghars at Dahnu and Malthehar. These projects are intended to expand public infrastructure and improve access to essential services.

Sukhu also laid foundation stones for an Ayurvedic Health Centre at Halyatar, staff quarters at Kangni, a Panchayat Samudayik Kendra at Ratti, the Development Block at Balh, and flood protection works on Sekad Khad and Behna Nallah. He said the projects would strengthen basic infrastructure and public services, with improved roads supporting smoother vehicle movement and better water supply schemes providing residents with safer and more reliable drinking water.
