Jyoti Structures eligible for KETRACO's Kenya project bid

Jyoti Structures has received pre-qualification from Kenya Transmission Company (KETRACO), Kenya, to participate in the bidding process for the 132 kV Narok-Bomet Transmission Line tender, covering a distance of 88 kilometres on a total turnkey basis.

KETRACO carried out a pre-qualification process to determine the eligibility of EPC companies to bid for the aforementioned project, which is funded by the African Development Bank. JSL has been deemed qualified to bid for the project based on its past experiences with similar projects, including those in Kenya, as well as its comprehensive in-house capabilities and resources.

The company's qualification for this tender signifies its return to international markets for turnkey projects.

The submission deadline for the techno-commercial bid for the aforementioned tender was on 25 April 2024. This project is a priority for KETRACO, and it is expected to be completed within 12 months from the award to the successful bidder.

Globally, JSL has commissioned over 31,000 circuit kilometers of Transmission Lines up to 765 kV, 1800 Bays Substations, and electrified over 37,325 villages.
