The Buildings and Factories (B&F) business vertical of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured multiple orders across several states in India, including new contracts and add-on work in ongoing projects. In Gujarat the unit won an order for the construction of a float glass plant, with the scope covering design and construction of all civil, steel, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work and associated external development. In Andhra Pradesh the business secured an order from a leading two-wheeler manufacturer for the construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, encompassing civil, steel and architectural works.

The orders include multiple add-on assignments in existing projects, reflecting strong execution capability and sustained customer confidence in the business. The B&F vertical brings strong domain knowledge, proven expertise and extensive experience in delivering engineering, procurement and construction solutions across segments such as hospitals, public spaces, airports, data centre, residential buildings, commercial spaces and factories. This encompasses complex industrial structures including automobile plants, proving tracks, new energy facilities such as solar panel and battery storage plants, paint and chemical plants, glass plants and food processing units.

L&T is a USD 30 bn Indian multinational engaged in EPC projects, hi-tech manufacturing and services operating across multiple geographies, and a customer focused approach and pursuit of quality have underpinned its leadership for eight decades. The order has been classified as significant under the company framework, a category that corresponds to Rs 10 bn to Rs 25 bn. The classification reflects the scale and strategic nature of the contract without disclosing specific financial details.

The B&F business will continue to pursue opportunities across industrial and infrastructure segments while leveraging its multidisciplinary capabilities and integrated delivery model.
