A major overhaul of the state’s labour laws was approved with the drafting of a new Maharashtra Labour Code to modernise outdated regulations in line with industry needs.

The fisheries sector will now receive policy treatment similar to agriculture, supporting rural livelihoods through improved infrastructure and incentives.

Key infrastructure approvals include a four-lane elevated and ground road from Talegaon to Chakan and a six-lane ground road from Chakan to Shikrapur in Pune.
