Monolithisch India Commissions Capex-I at Purulia

Monolithisch India has expanded its installed capacity to 206,000 tonne per annum (TPA) with the commissioning of Capex-I at its Purulia, West Bengal plant. The milestone strengthens the Company’s leadership in unshaped refractory materials while supporting the growing demand from India’s steel industry.

Monolithisch India has commissioned Capex-I, the first phase of its capital expenditure programme, at its Purulia plant in West Bengal. With this addition, the Company’s installed capacity has risen to 206,000 tonnes per annum (TPA), consolidating its position as a leader in the unshaped refractory materials segment.

The commissioning was achieved as per schedule despite adverse weather conditions. Over the next 10 days, pre-runs and quality checks will be undertaken to ensure smooth operations and consistent product quality.

The expanded capacity will cater to the growing demand for premium ramming mass products, supporting India’s steel sector. It also reinforces the Company’s strategy to scale operations, adopt advanced technologies, and enhance sustainability and customer-focused innovation.

Commenting on the development, Harsh Tekriwal, Managing Director, Monolithisch India, said, “Capex-I marks a new chapter in Monolithisch India’s journey of growth and innovation. By investing in technology, infrastructure, and talent, we are positioning ourselves to enable more efficient and sustainable steel production in India.”

Monolithisch India reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the refractory industry through innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability, while thanking its customers, partners, investors, and stakeholders for their continued trust and support.
