NHIDCL Projects Advance in Nagaland’s Meluri District

The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) has provided updates on several ongoing road infrastructure projects in Meluri district, Nagaland, focusing on the Akhegwo-Avangkhu section of NH-202K and the Akhegwo-Jessami section of NH-202.

Akhegwo-Avangkhu Section (NH-202K)

Package I (Km 0.000 to Km 34.795): This 34.795 km stretch is being widened to a 2-lane road with a hard shoulder. Awarded to Mayasheel Construction JSP Projects Pvt. Ltd. (JV) at a cost of Rs 430.24 crore, the project has achieved 49.95% physical progress and 49.1% financial progress. It commenced in August 2023 and is scheduled for completion by February 23, 2026.

Package II (Km 34.795 to Km 69.875): Covering 35.08 km, this segment is under the execution of Kantilal Khimjibhi Bhalala Project Pvt. Ltd. (KKB) with a contract value of Rs 442.54 crore. As of now, it has reached 20.85% physical progress and 18.11% financial progress. The project started in June 2023 and aims for completion by February 23, 2026.

Package III (Km 69.875 to Km 106.816): This 36.941 km stretch is being developed by New India Contractors & Developers Pvt. Ltd. - Bharat Construction Co. (JV) at a cost of Rs 497.18 crore. The project has achieved 59.2% physical progress and 58.46% financial progress. Initiated in August 2023, it is expected to be completed by February 25, 2026.

Akhegwo-Jessami Section (NH-202)

Package I (Km 283.000 to Km 325.440): This 42.44 km segment, stretching from the 5-legged junction at Old Akhegwo to Akash Bridge, has been completed as of January 17, 2025. The project was executed by Kantilal Khimjibhi Bhalala Project Pvt. Ltd. (KKB) - YN Dhanani (YND) (JV) at a cost of Rs 605.36 crore.

These projects are part of NHIDCL's efforts to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in Nagaland, aiming to facilitate smoother transportation and economic development in the region.
