Pavna opens new R&D centre in Noida to boost innovation

Pavna Industries Limited has announced the establishment of a new Research and Development (R&D) Centre in Sector-63, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant step in its commitment to innovation and technology advancement within the automotive components sector.

The new facility will focus on the development of electronic components, lock systems, switches, and other advanced automotive technologies. According to the company, the centre aims to strengthen its design and engineering capabilities to meet evolving customer requirements and international quality standards.

Pavna Industries manufactures a wide range of automotive components for passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and off-road vehicles. The company supplies parts to leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across these segments.

Managing Director Swapnil Jain said the new centre represents a major milestone in Pavna’s innovation journey. He added that the R&D facility will help accelerate product development, improve operational efficiency, and deliver greater value to both OEM partners and end customers.

Formerly known as Pavna Locks Limited, the company was incorporated in April 1994 and has been active in the South Asian automotive industry for over 50 years. Pavna Industries operates manufacturing plants in Aligarh, Aurangabad, and Pantnagar, strategically located near major customer facilities.

The company’s product portfolio includes ignition switches, fuel tank caps, latches, auto locks, switches, oil pumps, throttle bodies, fuel cocks, and casting components. Pavna also exports to countries such as Italy, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Sudan, the United States, and Bangladesh.

Its client base features leading automotive manufacturers, including Bajaj, Kawasaki, Honda, TVS, Mahindra, Escorts, Royal Enfield, Ashok Leyland, and Eicher Motors. Pavna Industries also maintains an Indo-Taiwan joint venture with Sunworld Moto Industrial Co. as part of its collaborative approach to research and product innovation.
