Popular Vehicles Acquires BharatBenz Dealership In Punjab

Popular Vehicles & Services Limited (PVSL), one of India’s leading fully integrated automotive dealership companies, has announced that its wholly owned step-down subsidiary, Prabal Motors Pvt. Ltd., has executed a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) to acquire the BharatBenz dealership operations of Globe CV Private Limited in Punjab.
Through this acquisition, Prabal Motors will operate eight state-of-the-art facilities across key cities in the state. Seven of these will function as integrated 3S outlets (Sales, Service and Spare Parts), while one will be dedicated to aftermarket spare parts. The transaction includes the transfer of business units, new vehicle inventory, assets, and workforce for a consideration of Rs 120 million, with the current vehicle inventory valued at Rs 220 million.
This strategic move strengthens PVSL’s commercial vehicle portfolio in northern India, complementing its strong presence in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, and further reinforces its long-standing partnership with the BharatBenz brand.
The eight facilities feature modern showrooms, advanced service workshops with 32 service bays, spare parts distribution, and pre-owned vehicle operations. With this acquisition, Prabal Motors becomes the exclusive dealer partner for BharatBenz in Punjab, enhancing both sales and service experiences for customers.
In FY25, Globe CV reported revenues of around Rs 2.5 billion and employed a workforce of 222. For Globe CV, the dealership business was a non-core operation, while PVSL expects to unlock stronger and sustainable growth under Prabal Motors’ expertise and infrastructure.
