PSP Projects Sets World Record With Umiya Dham Foundation

PSP Projects Limited, a leading multidisciplinary construction company in India, has achieved a world-record engineering feat by completing the continuous pouring of 24,000 cubic metres of concrete in just 54 hours. This effort created the world’s largest raft foundation for a religious structure, forming the base of the Umiya Dham temple in Jaspur, Ahmedabad, recognised by the Golden Book of World Records.
The operation began on World Engineer’s Day, 15 September 2025, and concluded on 17 September 2025, marking a key milestone in the construction of the Umiya Dham complex. Conceived by the Vishv Umiya Foundation, the temple is planned to be the tallest in the world at 504 feet, with a projected lifespan of 500 years, blending modern engineering with ancient Vedic traditions.
Shri P. S. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of PSP Projects, said: “This landmark achievement demonstrates the capabilities, planning, and dedication of our team. Executing one of the world’s largest raft foundations within 54 hours is a new benchmark in civil engineering and a proud moment for India’s construction industry.”

The project required unprecedented logistics and material management, coordinated with Adani Cements as the official concrete supplier. Key statistics include:
  • Concrete poured: 24,000 cubic metres (temperature-controlled)
  • Cement: 3,600 tonnes
  • GGBS: 6,480 tonnes
  • Ice for temperature control: 3,250 tonnes
  • Total resources mobilised: 29 RMC plants, 280 transit mixers completing over 4,100 trips, 19 concrete pumps, and more than 600 personnel operating in two shifts
Advanced technology was central to the project’s success, featuring a control centre for real-time tracking, live vehicle monitoring, and data management systems to ensure precise coordination between material production and on-site delivery.
