Statiq hosts Fleet Day for EV drivers at Delhi fast-charging hub

Statiq, India’s largest EV charging network, hosted its first-ever ‘Fleet Day’ at its Mahipalpur fast-charging hub in New Delhi, recognising the contribution of fleet drivers who are driving the country’s electric mobility adoption.

The event brought together over 150 EV fleet drivers, including last-mile delivery riders, cab aggregator drivers, and logistics fleet operators, who depend on Statiq’s charging network for their daily commercial operations.

Statiq highlighted that fleet drivers are among the most frequent and high-volume users of public EV charging infrastructure, making them central to normalising EV adoption in urban India and proving the commercial viability of electric mobility. The company noted that India’s commercial EV fleet market is expected to grow rapidly and could reach 10 million units by 2030, with two-wheelers and three-wheelers leading last-mile delivery and cab segments.

The Mahipalpur hub was transformed with on-ground branding and community activities, creating a dedicated space for drivers who use the facility as a regular charging stop.

Akshit Bansal, Founder & CEO, Statiq, said, "At Statiq, we have always believed that the EV transition is not just about technology, it is about people. Fleet Day is a tribute to the drivers who have placed their trust in our network and, in doing so, are actively writing the story of electric mobility in India. Their daily journeys are proof that EVs work, at scale, in real conditions, and on real roads. We are proud to stand alongside them."

Statiq said its charging network spans hundreds of charging points across major Indian cities and is designed to serve both retail and fleet charging requirements, with emphasis on uptime reliability, fast charging capability, and seamless digital payment integration.

Raghav Arora, co-founder & CTO, Statiq, said, "Fleet drivers are the ultimate stress test for any charging network. They charge multiple times a day, in all conditions, and have zero tolerance for downtime. Every infrastructure decision we make, from charger placement to software reliability to payment flows, is built with the fleet driver in mind. Fleet Day gave us the rare opportunity to hear directly from our most engaged users and to reaffirm our commitment to building infrastructure that works for them, not just for the brochure."

Karan Nandwani, AVP, Business Development, Statiq said, "Fleet drivers are among the most active users of EV charging infrastructure. Fleet Day is our way of recognizing the people who power the EV ecosystem every single day."

The company said Fleet Day marks the start of a long-term driver engagement programme that will be expanded to other cities and charging hubs. Statiq is also evaluating loyalty initiatives, dedicated fleet support programmes, and regular community events to strengthen its partnership with the commercial EV segment.
