Tamil Nadu CM Vijay to Open Pudukkottai Facilities on November 2

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay is scheduled to visit Pudukkottai on November 2 to inaugurate a newly constructed bus stand and an indoor sports stadium. The bus stand has been built at a cost of Rs. 230 mn, while the stadium has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 80 mn.

According to the proposed itinerary, Vijay will arrive at Tiruchirappalli airport from Chennai by special aircraft and travel to Pudukkottai by helicopter. He is scheduled to land at a helipad at the Armed Reserve Police grounds in Pudukkottai, from where he will travel by road to the new bus stand.

The bus stand is located around 0.5 km from the helipad. After inaugurating the facility, Vijay will proceed to the district sports stadium, approximately 1 km away, to open the indoor stadium and inspect the newly constructed facility.

Welfare assistance is scheduled to be distributed to beneficiaries at the indoor stadium during the visit. The Chief Minister is also set to undertake a roadshow covering around 1.5 km before returning to the helipad at the Armed Reserve Police grounds.

Vijay will then travel by helicopter to Tiruchirappalli airport for his onward journey. The district administration and police are making arrangements for the proposed visit, including security measures for the helicopter movements, the inauguration programmes and the roadshow.

The travel plan remains subject to change. Police are also preparing for the possibility that Vijay could travel by road from Tiruchirappalli to Pudukkottai instead of using a helicopter. Officials are expected to finalise the arrangements closer to the visit, taking into account security and logistical requirements.
