TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited awarded a value contract to M/s ALFA TRANSFORMERS LIMITED for the supply of distribution transformers under contract number 4600002907 dated 28 April 2026. The release order establishes a two-year rate contract with validity from 25 April 2026 to 25 April 2028 and sets procedural conditions for acceptance and performance.

The contract value is Rs 37,864,017.67, equivalent to Rs 37.86 million (mn). The agreement covers release orders to be issued during the validity period as and when requirements arise. Prices are on FOR basis and are inclusive of transit insurance, packing and forwarding and unloading and stacking at TPCODL sites.

The schedule attached to the contract lists transformers of various capacities including 63 kVA, 100 kVA, 250 kVA, 500 kVA and one MVA unit across 11 and 33 kV classes, with unit rates and applicable taxes detailed by item. The contract stipulates that prices remain variable as per IEEMA and sets 15 July 2025 as the base date for price variation calculations.

The rate contract requires a Performance Bank Guarantee of five per cent of the rate contract value to be submitted within 21 days, with a reduced requirement for qualifying MSME vendors registered in Odisha. Delivery for the first lot is 120 days plus 15 days for drawing approval and 120 days for subsequent lots. Payment terms provide 100 per cent settlement within 60 days for non MSME vendors and within 45 days for MSME vendors subject to receipt and inspection.

Guarantee provisions require the business associate to stand liable for defects for 66 months from the date of last supply and to provide free replacement for latent defects for a further three years. TPCODL reserves rights to nominate third party inspectors, to short close orders in case of quality issues and to recover costs and charges as prescribed, and clarifies that the rate contract does not bind it to the tendered quantity.
