TVS Motor Launches Armado 200 For Indonesian Terrain

TVS Motor Company launched the TVS Armado 200 in Jakarta on eight April 2026 as a purpose-built commercial three-wheeler for Indonesia's logistics and commercial sectors. The vehicle is powered by a robust 197.75 cc oil-cooled engine designed for long operating hours and sustained commercial use. It features a two-metre (m) cargo bed with a best-in-class payload capacity of up to 840 kilogram (kg), aiming to support a wide range of small and medium business operations. The model was first showcased digitally earlier in the year and is assembled at the TVS Karawang Plant.

The powertrain delivers maximum power of 10.6 kilowatt (kW) at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque of 15.5 Nm at 5,000 rpm with a five-speed manual transmission and a 16 litre fuel tank. The oil-cooled system is presented as offering higher operational resilience and easier maintenance than liquid-cooled alternatives and the chassis includes leaf-spring suspension with dampers for challenging roads. Ergonomic seating, a padded backrest and a USB charging port are included to improve operator comfort and utility.

The Armado 200 is offered in three colours and is priced at IDR 35,900,000 normally with an introductory on-the-road Jakarta price of IDR 34,900,000 and flexible financing options to support uptake. TVS noted that the product is a locally developed strategic offering intended to meet domestic demand and create future export potential, reflecting long-term investment in Indonesian manufacturing. The company has also committed to supplying the AGRINAS and Merah Putih Co-operatives initiative with Armado vehicles to support local economic value chains.

TVS provides an industry-leading engine warranty of three years or 30,000 km to reinforce confidence in durability and long-term total cost of ownership. With a cargo bed measuring 2,070 by 1,310 by 670 millimetre (mm) and ground clearance of 230 millimetre (mm), the vehicle is positioned to address logistics needs across suburban and rural areas. TVS Motor Company emphasised its century-long legacy, manufacturing footprint in India and Indonesia and presence across 90 countries as underpinning its commitment to sustainable mobility.
