AVEVA Joins UN Global Compact Network

AVEVA, a global engineering and industrial software company, has joined the United Nations Global Compact and the UN Global Compact Network UK—a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.

The aim of the network is to mobilise a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders that enable responsible businesses by aligning strategies and operations with the “Ten Principles on human rights”, labour, environment and anti-corruption; as well as take strategic actions towards achieving integrated societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The UN Global Compact, launched in 2000, is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 12,000 companies and 3,500 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and 69 local networks.

AVEVA is also enabling its customers to advance their own sustainability efforts with software solutions that can be applied across more than nine industry verticals to address challenges such as providing real-time energy data and supporting improved operational efficiency to help customers cut their energy consumption and emissions.
