Knauf India Doubles Capacity with New Metal Line at Khushkhera Plant

Knauf India, the world’s leading drywall and ceiling solutions company, has inaugurated a new Metal Line at its Khushkhera plant, doubling the facility’s overall production capacity. The expansion strengthens Knauf’s local manufacturing footprint and supports the growing domestic demand for advanced building materials.
The launch was held during Knauf’s Dealer Engagement Day, which brought together dealers, partners and team members from across the country for a full-day programme combining technical demonstrations and engagement activities. The event began with a guided plant tour showcasing the new Metal Line’s advanced safety, production and operations processes.
The new Metal Line is designed to significantly scale capacity and enhance production precision. It incorporates sensor-based inspection systems, precision roll tooling and real-time quality control to improve consistency, product performance and material efficiency while reducing assembly errors.
“This new Metal Line marks a key milestone in our growth journey. It reflects our dedication to efficiency, innovation, and to the people who make our progress possible. Dealer Engagement Day is our way of thanking our partners and celebrating the shared vision that drives us forward every day. As we expand our capabilities, we also strengthen our relationships with the people who help us deliver excellence to every customer,” said Sumit Bidani, CEO, Knauf India.
The inauguration was followed by outdoor engagement sessions, including a plantation activity to reinforce Knauf’s focus on environmental responsibility and friendly football matches between employees and dealers. The expansion forms part of Knauf India’s broader plan to scale manufacturing operations and enhance supply efficiency across the country. The company expects the increased capacity to improve fulfilment speed and support a wider portfolio of drywall and ceiling solutions.
