Neilsoft’s ConstructMonitor will remotely monitor construction quality

Neilsoft, a focused engineering services and software solutions (ER&D) provider servicing global customers in the AEC or construction, manufacturing and industrial plants segments, announced the launch of ConstructMonitor, its SaaS solution for managing construction quality and progress. The solution, developed in collaboration between Neilsoft and Tokyo-based Fujita Corporation, is aimed at addressing construction project quality issues in larger construction projects like commercial offices, high-rise buildings, data centres, hospitals, industrial plants, factories, malls, IT parks and other infrastructure projects.

Several large or complex construction projects globally adopt Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology integrating various stakeholders (Owners, architects, engineers, contractors, etc) with a single source of truth across the entire project lifecycle through a common data environment (CDE). While BIM has found significantly higher adoption in the design phase of projects, construction quality and variation from as-designed BIM models during the construction phase remains a challenge. ConstructMonitor has been developed to ensure better quality and progress monitoring and to identify variations from the as-designed BIM model.

Quality defects at construction sites such as design deviations, incorrect element sizes and missing structural elements have cascading repercussions on the construction sequence. These also lead to the need for rework as well as safety hazards, material wastage, cost overruns and delays. ConstructMonitor enables general contractors, EPC firms, architects, project and construction management firms, owners to remotely monitor design deviations at construction sites (vis-à-vis design BIM models) with LiDAR-enabled iPhones (on a daily or weekly basis) and or terrestrial 3-D laser scanners (once a month). Construction-site reality captured using point cloud data is relayed via the company's cloud platform to a processing server where specialised algorithms make object-level comparison with the BIM design data and identify deviations.

ConstructMonitor is offered as a SaaS solution for each client or project and is deployable either on public or private cloud. The solution offers customisable visualisation capabilities and intuitive dashboards providing a comprehensive view of the construction project and empowers remote users to determine the 'as-built' accuracy of the under-construction building. This early identification of costly variations and errors in the construction project lifecycle helps control construction quality, keeps projects on schedule and enables timely remote monitoring of quality and progress without frequent site visits.

ConstructMonitor is a construction management solution jointly developed by Fujita and Neilsoft to address construction quality issues causing construction cost overrun and rework. The tool integrates Neilsoft’s experience in AEC and BIM and Fujita's industry experience in construction. It leverages building information model (BIM) technology to compare the 'as-actual' construction against 'as-designed' BIM models, identifying quality problems early, thereby preventing costly rework and ensuring adherence to project standards and timelines. Jyoti Structures FY26 profit rises 56.5%

VECV sales rise 6.9% in April 2026

VE Commercial Vehicles, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, recorded sales of 7,318 units in April 2026, compared to 6,846 units in April 2025, registering 6.9 per cent growth.
