JSW plant to run at full capacity

Due to iron ore supply issues, JSW Steel´s Vijayanagar plant in Karnataka is currently running at an 85 per cent capacity utilisation level. The Supreme Court has approved the opening of category A and B iron ore mines in Karnataka. Out of a total of 115 mines, only 15 are up and running. With the improving iron ore supply situation, JSW soon expects the Vijayanagar plant to run at full capacity. The company´s iron ore is currently sourced from Jharkhand and Odissa.
