GHIAL mulls engine MRO facility

A subsidiary of infra firm GMR Infrastructure, GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL) is at an advanced stage of talks with major aircraft engine manufacturers to set up engine MRO facilities. The move is part of a strategy to turn the loss-making Hyderabad airport's operations profitable in the backdrop of a subdued real estate market. The company is in talks with almost all the major aircraft engine manufacturers including Pratt & Whitney, CFM International, GE and Rolls Royce.
