Aero Nomad Introduces Wireless In-Flight Entertainment

Aero Nomad Airlines has partnered with AeroHub and Aeroplay Entertainment to introduce wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE), enabling passengers to stream content directly to their smartphones, tablets and laptops.
AeroHub provides the onboard entertainment platform, while Aeroplay Entertainment supplies curated content. Passengers access the service through the onboard Wi-Fi network using a QR-based entry point.
The entertainment catalogue includes Hollywood and international films, television programmes and games. The platform also incorporates destination information and passenger engagement features.
Designed as a scalable solution with limited hardware requirements, the system supports the airline’s efforts to expand digital passenger services. Wireless delivery reduces reliance on conventional embedded entertainment equipment and its associated weight and maintenance requirements.
Sameer Sirdeshmukh, Vice President, AeroHub, said: “AeroHub is designed to give airlines the flexibility to scale their entertainment offering in line with network growth and evolving passenger expectations.”
Aeroplay’s content strategy focuses on regional relevance, varied passenger preferences and a regularly refreshed catalogue, according to Subir Arora, Senior Vice President, Aeroplay Entertainment.
The deployment reflects growing interest among regional and emerging carriers in wireless entertainment platforms that combine passenger services with operational flexibility. Such systems offer an alternative for airlines seeking to introduce or expand onboard entertainment while managing hardware requirements, deployment timelines and lifecycle costs.

Cement manufacturers in India are likely to raise prices by Rs. 10-15 per bag from mid-October, as they seek to offset persistent increases in power and fuel costs.
