Azad Engineering bags contract from Boeing to supply aviation parts

Boeing has awarded Azad Engineering of Hyderabad a contract to manufacture and supply critical aviation components and parts for its products.

Under the terms of the contract, the company will begin delivering critical components to Boeing including hydraulic and mechanical fittings in Q1 2022.

Rakesh Chopdar, Azad Engineering's Owner and Managing Director told the media that this contract demonstrates their dedication to quality, precision, and collaborative culture. Azad Engineering's collaboration with Boeing is a watershed moment in Telangana's burgeoning aerospace ecosystem.

The company, which recently announced plans to invest $80 million in a second manufacturing facility over the next 36 months, is capable of producing complex and super-critical components and machined parts for the turbine and aerospace industries.

Boeing India's Director of Supply Chain Management, Ashwani Bhargava, told the media that this is a significant step toward the Government of India's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Azad Engineering plans to develop a precision engineering cluster with the new manufacturing plant, creating job opportunities for highly skilled people in Telangana while leveraging and growing the existing aerospace ecosystem.
