Darbhanga airport an essential contributor to Bihar’s progress: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the media that the Darbhanga airport is an essential contributor to Bihar's progress.

The observation of the PM was in response to a man's tweet, who expressed his gratitude to the PM for providing Darbhanga civil aviation facility.

Modi expressed his happiness and said that the government is working to boost connectivity and comfort for the aviation sector. The Prime Minister also cited Darbhanga airport as an essential contributor to Bihar's progress.

This was in response to Mukund Jha's Tweet in which he expressed gratitude towards the PM for giving the airport to Darbhanga as he was boarding the flight for the first time with his father. He also posted pictures before boarding the plane with his father and after getting seated inside.

Jha's bio on the microblogging site showed that he was the president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in south Kolkata.

In another post, he said that BJP has promised to give them an airport in 2014, and they kept that promise and constructed an airport.

His post attracted over 5,300 likes in a few hours, and his followers increased considerably by a couple of hundreds.

Meanwhile, one of the threads appreciated the PM saying that the vision of the NaMo govt in enhancing the connectivity and providing them airports like Darbhanga and Pakyong in Sikkim and four upcoming airports in Ladakh, the international airport in the northeast is absolutely laudable and that he hopes to see that every major town of India has airport and rail connectivity.
