Honeywell Aerospace Forecasts Business Aviation Growth Through 2035

Honeywell Aerospace has forecast continued growth in global business aviation over the next decade, supported by rising aircraft deliveries, fleet expansion and increased utilisation. Its 2026 Global Business Aviation Outlook projects approximately 14,000 business aircraft deliveries between 2026 and 2035, comprising 9,950 business jets and 4,200 turboprops.

The global fleet is forecast to increase from around 39,400 aircraft in 2025 to nearly 51,000 by 2035. Flight hours are projected to rise by 34 per cent over the same period, with charter and fractional operators expected to contribute significantly through higher utilisation and fleet expansion.

Annual deliveries are forecast to grow from approximately 1,280 aircraft in 2026 to more than 1,500 by 2035. The annual value of new aircraft deliveries could exceed US$37 bn by the end of the forecast period. Midsize jets are expected to record the strongest fleet growth, expanding by 40 per cent as operators balance range, cabin comfort and operating costs.

Honeywell Aerospace President of Commercial Original Equipment Linnea Whisler said demand from corporations, private individuals, charter customers and fractional owners was supporting the sector’s expansion. The United States and Canada account for approximately 63 per cent of global deliveries and fleet size, while generating nearly 68 per cent of worldwide flight hours.

Latin America represents around 14 per cent of global deliveries and 15 per cent of the fleet. Europe accounts for approximately 10 per cent of the global fleet and 13 per cent of flight activity, while India is expanding in Asia Pacific through improved access models and supportive policy initiatives. The report identifies fleet modernisation as the leading sustainability strategy, alongside sustainable aviation fuel, or SAF, and shared aircraft operating models. Its findings draw on market analysis, industry data and a survey of 306 nonfractional operators representing 1,558 business aircraft.
