Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal participated in a tour of the country’s first Busopolis – a state-of-the-art bus terminus along with a complete retail, travel and hospitality experience.   Derived from the concept of ‘Aerotropolis’ (mega airports), Mohali Busopolis is dedicated to the people of Punjab. Located on the border of Chandigarh and in close proximity to major institutional infrastructure and residential townships, the Mohali Terminus Mega Project is spread across an area of 7.02 acre, has a total project cost of Rs 700 crore and is being executed in three phases.    According to Col (Retd) CVS Sehgal, Chief General Manager, C&C Constructions, “With connectivity and innovative commercial spaces playing a significant role in the country and state economies, Mohali Junction is set to redefine the way we travel and conduct business. Besides giving accessibility, efficiency, and convenience to the business traveller, the project will have ample leisure facilities for the traveller.     The project has bagged accolades for being region’s first integrated commercial project and India’s first air-conditioned bus stand. With the state-of-the-art AC ISBT ready for operation, C&C Mohali junction is the next happening thing in the outskirts of Chandigarh. The ISBT will be functional 24 x 7.
