Khandeparkar panel to have broader mandate

Justice RMS Khandeparkar has informed that the committee appointed under him for investigating illegal iron ore mining in Goa will have a broader mandate compared to the Justice MB Shah Committee. Besides going through the findings of Shah Commission, the Goa Government-appointed Justice RMS Khandeparkar committee will also investigate several aspects which were left untouched by them. Goa Government notified Khandeparkar Committee to further investigate into the findings of Justice MB Shah Commission, which had pegged illegal mining in the state to Rs 35,000 crore.
