Perambalur-Thanjavur highway being widened

The widening of road between Perambalur and Thanjavur via Ariyalur taken up by NHAI has gained momentum. As per the plan, the existing 7 m road will be widened to 10 m for 66 km from Perambalur to Thanjavur. All standard procedures, stipulated by NHAI for toll roads, will be applied on Perambalur-Thanjavur road. It will have two lanes with paved shoulder similar to Tiruchi-Karur road. The project is being executed at Rs 157 crore.
