Brahmaputra Infrastructure Receives Rs. 897.3 mn Bridge Award

Brahmaputra Infrastructure, through its joint venture with Ganesh Kartikey, has received a Letter of Acceptance from Punjab’s Public Works Department for a bridge project valued at Rs. 897.3 mn. The award covers construction of a high-level major bridge over the River Ravi and its approaches in Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts.

The acceptance was issued by the Chief Engineer (Central), Punjab PWD (B&R), Patiala, on October 8, 2026, under Memo No. 1417/CRIF. The project is being awarded by the Government of Punjab and is classified as a domestic civil construction order. Brahmaputra Infrastructure disclosed the award under Regulation 30 of SEBI listing requirements.

The bridge at Makoura Pattan will have 44 spans, each measuring 36.5 m, for a total bridge length of 1,606 m. Its approaches will extend 4,144 m, taking the overall construction scope beyond the bridge structure and linking areas across the two Punjab districts. The work is being undertaken under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund Scheme.

Under the Letter of Acceptance, the joint venture must complete the work within 24 months. Execution will follow the approved detailed notice inviting tender and bidding documents, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways specifications, and CRIF guidelines. The project also requires performance security and additional performance security in line with the tender conditions.

The company said the order strengthens its order book of bridge and road infrastructure projects and adds to its work for government authorities. It also said the project expands its portfolio of technically complex civil infrastructure assignments. The awarding authority has no promoter, promoter-group or group-company interest, and the contract is not a related-party transaction.
