Highway Infra Wins Rs 3.29bn NHAI Toll Contract

Highway Infrastructure shares jumped 9.42 per cent to Rs 67.94 after the company secured a one-year contract from the National Highways Authority of India to operate and collect user fees at the Kaza Fee Plaza on NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh.

The contract also covers the upkeep and maintenance of adjacent toilet blocks, including the replenishment of consumables. The order is valued at Rs 3.29 billion and is entirely domestic in nature. The company clarified that neither its promoters nor the promoter group have any interest in NHAI and that the contract does not constitute a related-party transaction.

Madhya Pradesh-based Highway Infrastructure is engaged in infrastructure development and management, with core operations spanning tollway collection, EPC infrastructure projects and real estate development. The company has completed 27 tollway projects and currently operates four, deploying advanced electronic toll collection and automatic number plate recognition technologies.

Its EPC arm has delivered more than 66 projects across roads, bridges and irrigation works under schemes such as PMAY and PMGSY. In real estate, the company is expanding its presence in Indore through residential and integrated township developments. In FY25, toll collection accounted for over 77 per cent of total revenue, followed by EPC and real estate segments. As of 31 May 2025, the company’s order book stood at Rs 6.66 billion.

For the twelve months ended 31 March 2025, Highway Infrastructure reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 0.22 billion on revenue of Rs 4.96 billion.
