Cityflo has integrated QR metro ticket booking for Mumbai and Delhi into its app through the Open Network for Digital Commerce, bringing bus and metro bookings onto a single platform to simplify multi-modal journeys for commuters. The rollout is presented as covering Mumbai Metro Lines 1, 2A, 7, 9 and Aqua Line 3, and the Delhi Metro network, with support for one-way and return QR tickets. The company said the service allows search, payment and gate entry using QR codes to streamline travel. Users can book up to six tickets in a single transaction and the firm reported no additional booking fee at launch. Payments are processed within the app and QR codes are presented at station gates for validation. The integration is intended to reduce friction for daily commuters who previously needed separate operator apps. The rollout builds on Cityflo's existing feeder partnership with the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation for Aqua Line stations, and MMRCL director R Ramana welcomed the effort as a way to make daily journeys more convenient and to broaden commuter choice. Cityflo co-founder and chief business officer Rushabh Shah described the development as a continuation of the firm's role within the wider public transport system rather than a substitute, and framed the step as part of the company's responsibility to simplify commutes. The company noted that the integration is enabled by ONDC standards which allow ticketing to be accessed through platforms beyond individual operator applications. Cityflo, founded in 2015, operates more than 1,200 buses across Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata and serves around 18 million (18 mn) rides annually, the company said. Metro ticketing is now available through its app across the Mumbai and Delhi networks and is expected to reduce the need for passengers to switch between separate applications when combining bus and metro travel. The firm indicated the feature aims to improve journey planning and make multi-modal trips more seamless for regular commuters.
