Odisha's New Railway Line to Avoid Balukhand Sanctuary

A new railway line connecting Puri and Konark in Odisha will bypass the Balukhand Sanctuary, as announced by authorities. The decision aims to mitigate environmental concerns and preserve the sanctuary's delicate ecosystem.

The proposed rail route realignment comes after environmentalists and wildlife experts raised objections against the initial plan, which would have traversed through the Balukhand Sanctuary.
