RailTel Bags Rs 567 Million Assam HMIS Contract

RailTel Corporation of India said it has received a letter of award from the Assam Health Infrastructure Development & Management Society for the procurement, implementation and maintenance of a Hospital Management Information System.

The contract, awarded by a domestic entity, is valued at around Rs 567.1 million and is scheduled to be executed up to 31 January 2032, the company said. RailTel clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in AHIDMS and that the transaction does not fall under related-party arrangements.

RailTel, a Navratna public sector undertaking, is among India’s largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers and owns a nationwide optical fibre network supporting multiple government and enterprise services.

On the financial front, RailTel reported a 4.72 per cent year-on-year increase in standalone net profit to Rs 760.7 million in Q2 FY26, compared with Rs 726.4 million in Q2 FY25. Revenue from operations rose 12.78 per cent to Rs 9.51 billion during the quarter.

Shares of RailTel Corporation of India were last trading 0.23 per cent lower at Rs 370.70 on the BSE.
