RITES seeks bids for NLC India railway siding bridge

RITES, Bhubaneswar has announced a tender for the construction of a significant bridge at Bhedan river and associated works for the proposed railway siding of NLC India. The railway siding will run from the IB railway station of Bilaspur division of South East Central (SEC) Railway to Talabira mines at Jharsuguda in Odisha, under Package-B.

The project includes earthwork in formation, a major bridge at Bhedan river, minor bridges, the provision of P. way materials, track linking and allied works, ranging from ch 1/111 to 5/600 mtrs, and a holding loop line ch 0/000 to 3/398 mtrs., starting from the IB railway station and extending to Talabira mines at Jharsuguda.

The contract is worth Rs 1.18 billion and requires completion within 14 months. The deadline for bid submissions is June 1, 2023.
