Texmaco Rail Secures Rs. 4.12 bn Rail Wagon Order Increase

Texmaco Rail & Engineering has received an amendment from the Ministry of Railways for an additional 1,020 BOXNS wagons, raising the contracted quantity from 3,400 to 4,420. The increase, valued at Rs. 4.12 bn, is being made under the option clause in the original contract and will be executed on the same price, terms and conditions.

The Railway Board issued the amendment letter on 28 October 2026 under Clause 12.0 of the contract. The order is domestic and covers the manufacture and supply of BOXNS wagons, a freight-rolling-stock category used by the Indian Railways network.

The company said the execution and delivery period for the increased quantity would extend 162 days beyond the re-fixed delivery period. The revised completion date for the additional quantity is 11 June 2027, providing the company with an extended schedule for manufacturing and supplying the wagons.

Following the increase, the total amended contract value stands at Rs. 17.87 bn, including taxes. The filing stated that the promoter, promoter group and group companies do not have any interest in the entity awarding the contract.

The company also stated that the order does not fall under related-party transactions. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements regulations and submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE for regulatory record.

The amendment expands the scope of the existing railway supply contract without changing its commercial terms. Texmaco Rail & Engineering made the disclosure through a filing dated 29 October 2026, identifying the Ministry of Railways as the awarding entity and confirming that the order relates exclusively to BOXNS wagon manufacture and supply.
