Kochi cybercity gets SEZ status

Mumbai-based Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd through its subsidiary Bluestar Realtors Pvt Ltd, has received the SEZ status for the 70 acre proposed for its Rs 2,300 crore cybercity project from the Board for Approval of Special Economic Zones.

The project, an integrated township complete with support infrastructure for the IT processing industry, will come up at Kalamassery. Nearly 70 per cent of the land will be used by the IT processing industry, while 30 per cent would be used for support infrastructure including schools, shopping complexes, residential apartments and other amenities.
