Majlis Park–Maujpur Corridor Set to Make Delhi Metro’s Pink Line Longest

The Delhi Metro’s Pink Line is poised to become the longest metro corridor in the country, spanning 71.6 km with 46 stations, after the completion of the Majlis Park–Maujpur extension. The corridor will also transform the Pink Line into India’s first full circular metro route, further strengthening the city’s connectivity.
Once inaugurated, the Pink Line will not only be the longest in Delhi Metro’s network but also feature the maximum number of interchange stations—12 in total. This includes existing interchanges such as Azadpur, Netaji Subhas Place, Punjabi Bagh West, Rajouri Garden, Dilli Haat-INA, Lajpat Nagar, Mayur Vihar I, Anand Vihar ISBT, Karkardooma, and Welcome, with Majlis Park and Maujpur added under the new extension.
The extension introduces several new stations, including Burari Crossing, Jharoda Majra, Jagatpur Village, Soorghat, Sonia Vihar, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, and Yamuna Vihar. This will significantly ease travel for residents of North and East Delhi while enhancing connectivity with other key parts of the city.
The Pink Line has been developed in multiple phases since 2018, with the latest and final phase of the Majlis Park–Maujpur corridor closing the loop. According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the project will greatly reduce travel time, decongest roads, and provide seamless connections across Delhi.
