India’s sustainable aviation efforts are gaining ground as 55 of 86 airports have shifted to 100 per cent renewable energy, revealed the Minister of State in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, General (Dr) V K Singh (retired). To reduce carbon emissions, the ministry emphasises on curbing conventional energy use at airports to promote green alternatives. This aligns with a global trend as airports like Heathrow, Amsterdam and San Diego achieve carbon neutrality through renewable energy.
