Work on the Bhavanapadu and Bandar ports is slated to launch soon, with the Ramayapatnam port work reportedly being done on a war footing, as per the reports. The anchorage port is being developed at a cost of Rs 1 billion under the Sagarmala Scheme. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is reportedly giving priority to the development of ports in the state. For the benefit of fisherfolk, nine shipping harbours in the state are being developed, out of which five harbours have been completed and are ready to be inaugurated.
