Tata Communications to bring smart city solutions for Saudi Arabia

Tata Communications and Saudi Arabian telecom service provider Zain KSA have joined hands for bringing smart city solutions to Saudi Arabia.

With the help of this collaboration, the combination of the ecosystems will be delivering solutions as well as platforms for the remodeling of cities. These will include smart street lights and waste management. It will have connected cars, workplaces, and healthcare.

In this project, both the companies will be working towards bringing smart street lighting solutions to one of the important cities in Saudi Arabia. The IoT ecosystem of Tata Communications will be providing hardware, platform, application, and insights. Whereas, Zain KSA will be expanding the footprint with the help of their B2B- business-to-business offerings via joint projects which are related to SD-WAN- Software-Defined Wide Area Network and global contact centres.

Zain KSA’s reach and Tata Communication’s ecosystem comprising of advanced technologies will make the country’s transformation towards a sustainable economy even stronger.

This project bagged by Tata Communications is a milestone project. The project will make the city an intelligent and energy-efficient metropolitan city. It will also help in carbon footprint reduction and give rise to new opportunities for replicating the same in other cities.

Zain KSA’s pioneering and globally recognised 5G network aligned with the vertical expansion strategy for driving the 5G applications like the IoT, the company will be working together for contributing to their comprehensive digital solutions that offer transformation services. The services are provided under a single roof to various enterprises as well as governments in the kingdom.
